| LifestyleIn our other pages we have already seen that some of our fossils make beautiful works of art. Our lifestyle fossils take this a step further. It is very important to preserve the historic value and
natural beauty of fossils. We use this to take stone containing fossils
to work into special pieces for the home. This is no ordinary stoneware.
GALLERY
These fine plates are cut from 380 million year old stone. They have fossils of Goniatites (Circled shells that would have once had tentacles to swim with) and sometimes Orthoceros (similar with a long straight shell) from the Devonian period. The stone is from the Atlas Mountains and is cut into plates 30cm (12") across. A truly unique gift.
These bowls have similar Goniatites found in a grey stone. One particularly good fossil is left raised to the rim of the bowl. These are about 18cm to 19cm (7" to 7.5") across and 4cm to 5cm (over 1.5") deep.
Vistit our shop and choose one at around £315. Agate is related to quartz. Here we see slices of coloured agate mounted as clocks with polished wooden stands. Each is about 12 cm wide and stands about 12 cm high. Time has kept these goniatites, now they can keep time
for you.
